When should we start purchasing textbooks?

I heard some professors change their choice of textbook right before the class starts. I already bought two of my textbooks through amazon and half.com. Is this too early? When should we start buying books?
Thanks.

I usually try to wait until 3 weeks before class starts to order books online. This gives more than enough time for any changes and also for shipping. Otherwise, I just buy the rest once the info comes out online. Sometimes the school offers good packages (i.e., for chem 3a, they provide the textbook, study guide, and molecular kit for a good price than buying separately elsewhere)

i buy them early as cheap book runs out fast.

i ussually shop at ebay of amazon.

ebay favourite store eBay Store - New and Used College Textbooks: cheap textbook, economics brue, principles of corporate finance

3 weeks before class starts? thats like... next wed already! wow

Next Wed... ugh makes me feel like a procrastinator already and school hasn't even started!

haha yea me too. im already stressed about getting the classes i want too.

it is a bit over FOUR weeks till classes start.
