Generally postmarked on January 1st whereas a few others might expect the application to arrive anytime during the day of the 1st.

Usually January 1st the day.

But, I wouldn't take chances, just submit it tomorrow or Saturday

oh, sorry I didn't clarify, these are all online apps so I can submit whenever...

You can do the online apps up to 11:59 p.m. (make sure that you remember any time differences).

For those submitting paper apps, remember that Jan. 1 is a postal holiday. I know that we don't have any post offices in our area that will postmark on the 1st. That means that, to be on the safe side, 1/1 apps need to be mailed out by last pickup on Sat. the 30th.

execellent thanks

lol, this thread just shows how damn lazy we are

well yeah...i'm actually done with all my apps except for one...but i wanna keep proofreading it so I'm just curious how late i can hold it.

No... It shows what great procrastinators we are. A recent NY Times article that talked about messy people being more creative, fun, and nice than their organized equivalents concluded that procrastinators complete their work JUST AS EFFECTIVELY as their organized counterparts.

yeah, I work best under pressure :)

For some reason, I can finish anything that's due in the next three hours, like my college applications. I even get better grades than the people that started it several days before.

^ me too, I also work best under pressure. Haha, at our school we have an amazing English teacher who everybody loves and respects, but he does his lesson plans the class period before his own classes start :X He's a great teacher, too.

My daughter is a procrastinator extraordinaire! She is going to have a cow when I tell her that the post office is closed the 2nd in honor of Pres. Ford. Her Davidson supplement needs to be postmarked by the 2nd & that means she needs to get it done TODAY ... doubt it'll happen. Guess she'll be paying for FedEx.

I used to be a procrastinator, too. I actually got over it!

Kelsmom - the airport post office is open all the time, regardless of holidays.
