when they talk about class rank

when colleges report the percentage of admitted students in class rank they mean out of the ones at actualy submit rank right...for example if 90 percent of admitted students were in the top 90 percent of their class, theyre just counting the ones that actually have rank right? they leave those that dont out of the calculations?

Yeah they can only calculate the class rank stats from people who actually submit ranking. They wouldn't falsify data on applicants who come from schools that don't rank students...

that is the way cornell does it. only about half of high schools seem to rank now.

My school doesn't rank.
