When to apply for campus housing?

<p>I was wondering when you apply for campus housing? Is it after you apply but before you're accepted, or after you're accepted? I always thought it was after you're accepted, but after sending in my apps the other day, I got an email from San Francisco State and it kind of confused me about when to apply for housing because the email said:</p>

<p>"Apply for Housing and Financial Aid:
On campus housing is available on a first come, first served basis. If you plan to live on campus you have to submit a housing application.
For Housing Information and the application visit: Announcements</a> - SF State University Property Management "</p>

<p>And that's all it said on the matter. I went to the link it provided and it only said that the application opened on Oct 1 and HOW to apply - nothing about when. </p>

<p>You have to look at the specific school. Some schools recommend you apply for housing before you get accepted because there are limited spots, while other schools only allow you to apply for housing after you get accepted.</p>

<p>I was wondering this also…Like for UTSA , I’ve searched all over the website, and I couldn’t find anything that said anything about when I should apply for housing.</p>
