I heard that one should already be studying for the SAT’s during the summer break between sophmore and junior year.
So do you already apply during your junior year for american colleges?
Most students apply during fall of senior year.
So what is the usually last date to apply, I’m just wondering because of the fact when to take the SAT.
It depends on the school; check each college’s website concerning when to apply, what the last possible testing date is, etc.
The most common deadline for regular decision applications is January 1. Some colleges accept applications after that date.
If you intend to apply under early decision or early action the application deadline is commonly between November 1 and November 15. Some schools also offer EDII with later application dates.
You absolutely need to to check the individual college website for information on the last date to take the SAT I or the ACT. There is not one standard date for all colleges. Be aware that some schools require subject tests, SAT IIs, as well.
Financial aid applications will have their own deadlines. Again, check the websites for information.

Plan to take the act in September and November, and/or the sat in Junjunior year and senior November with sat subjects in October and December senior year.
Most merit scholarships have early deadlines and rolling admission colleges typically want your application for nov1.
