i noticed that the application window for UCs/CSUs is october 1st - november 30th. do they accept people as the applications roll in? or does someone who applies on oct 1 have the same chance as someone who submits on nov 30? when is a good time to apply? sorry for all these dumb questions lol
The UCs and CSUs do not have rolling admissions. You will have the same chance of admission whether you apply October 1st of November 30th. Keep in mind that it’s probably not a good idea to wait until the last day though on the off chance that the website crashes or something.
The chances are the same for everyone, no matter when you apply- it would only be different if the school had rolling admissions.
Some Cal States will send out acceptances as early as December (Usually top applicants) but most will notify by February. The UCR in the past has notified top applicants at the beginning of February, but on average the UC’s notify through the month of March.
As stated above, it does not matter when you submit your application as long it is received by November 30th. Again to no wait till the last minute.
@Gumbymom do you know if applications start being read/evaluated as they roll in? They may not accept until spring but do they start evaluating earlier if they receive applications earlier?
Your application will not be looked at until after the Nov 30th deadline . I am not sure of the application review time line but I am sure they have an initial screening process and then start separating out the applications for review.
