Hi guys

I am from California so I really need a scholarship if I want to attend the University of Florida. My ACT score is good but I think I can raise it when I take the test in Sept. I know they give the window of Aug 1 to Nov 1 to apply. Should I apply as soon as possible or should I wait until my Sept ACT scores are available? When do the make decisions for scholarships?

Apply as soon as possible. Generally they post the essay question before the application is available in August. Get that out of the way and the rest will be easy. You can update your ACT and SAT scores as you get them. Once you submit your application, they’ll give you an id a few days later, and then log in and apply for housing and submit a $20-$25 deposit to hold your priority for housing. The earlier you apply for housing, the more choices you will have for housing.

I agree ^. Definitely in August! Spaces for housing fill up so fast, especially if you want suite style or apartment style. Not sure about scholarships though. I didn’t get any for the fall.
