I’m a class of 2017 senior looking to apply to A&M, UTD, OU, and UNC. As far as I know, these early applications all open on August 1st. However, I’m looking to raise my SAT and ACT scores to try to be more competitive for scholarships. I’m taking the first offering of each test in this upcoming school year. Do I need to wait to apply until I receive my scores?

I would like to apply as early as possible, but I want to make the smartest choice regarding scholarships. Thanks for any input :slight_smile:

There’s no need to apply as early as possible. Just apply before the early application deadline and your application will be treated like all of the others. Use your time to research and apply for scholarships. Remember, the October SAT is your last chance before early application deadlines.

I think you can send your common app first and the college will take your scores until the Nov 1 date. Some colleges might take November subject test scores I heard.
