When should applications be in for UK MSc programs?

I want to apply to LSE/Imperial/Warwick and the MFE program at Oxford but I just began studying for the GMAT and have not started the personal statement or rec collection. Is it too late to start the application process? The deadlines are "rolling" but would my chances decrease drastically if I turned in my application in December?

Well, it doesn't seem to be "rolling" so much as a stepwise process; they just gather applications submitted in certain months and process them all at once (like supercharged EA-ing). If you submit in December, you will be considered in "Gathered Field 2" of the admissions process. The website states "Overseas applicants applying for funding via the Student Funding and International Office should apply in gathered fields 1 and 2."

I don't expect you could get your app. in by October 24th, the cut-off for gathered field 1, so the best you can do is 2, and there's no real gain in considering the "if's" by now. I have no idea how this will affect your chances...I don't know the British collegiate admissions process. But technically, you are not too late.

I dont know about your particular program but when I applied for my MSc in Edinburgh I sent in my application in the first week of December and I had an offer by February. Most of my friends who applied to UK for master also sent in their applications around last week of Nov/ first week of Dec. You might want to consult one of those student admission counsellors for UK. I did and it helps to a certain degree. They take the headache of sending out all ur stuff and tracking it. Hope that helps!! All the best with ur applications!!
