<p>The common app does not notify teachers that you have assigned them. The common app only sends them an invite email, not an “assigned” email.</p>
<p>What slushy9 means is assigning recommender for each school applying on CommonApp.</p>
<p>My D has asked teachers before the summer if they can write recommendation for her. She just send to teachers an update profile and confirmed they are still willing to write for her before the weekend. She just finished inviting and assigning recommender on CommonApp last night. The teacher will then take their time to write and hopefully submitted by Halloween. I guess I will ask my D to send them a Thank you note around that time which may also serve as a reminder in case they forget to send.</p>
