hello cc, so I am still in high school, and I need help planning out my senior year in relation to college visits. when is the best time to do campus visits to UCs and CSUs? (all road trips) as i have not gotten accepted anywhere and expect to get rejected to alot of them. should i visit before acceptance or after? and when do csu acceptance letters come? as ive seen people get accepted already. thankyou.

If you are a current senior and have already applied without any visits, but do not expect acceptances to every school, I would wait until you are accepted if travel is costly or timely. If there is one school that you know you will attend and think you will get into, you may want to travel when school starts up after winter break. May 1st is the deposit deadline, so depending on when you will hear from your choices, plan your travel according to the expected timeline for those schools.

oh thanks alot! ii live in south cali and quite a few of my schools are in north cal so i was wondering if there would be enough time to visit all my schools before the deposit deadline. guess i will visit the closer ones during spring break…

Many schools have a decision day before you have to put down a deposit. It’s is similar to an open house and they often have tours, informational meetings, and other activities. You might want to wait until you receive your acceptance letters and then research when their decision or open house days are. If you are more interested in one school than another, then you might want to plan your trip around that school’s decision day.
