When to establish

Hi all,
Well I'm over the shock of not getting in to Hampden-Sydney. I am going to my local cc in the fall. It will be great and I get to live with my family. NO RENT! However, I know I don't want to stay in this state forever (I'd like to get out either mid year or by the end of freshman), so my question is: When do I re-establish contact with HSC? I think trying to "re-establish contact now" is inappropriate.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help.:)

Well....any thoughts?

Look on their site for transfer student info. That might provide dates.

BTW, my co-worker is a SB girl married to a HS guy! LOTs of those matchups apparently. AND my daughter's boss is a Wabash grad.

Wabash:

I'm assuming you will be going to community college full time, right? In that case, you will be looking to transfer the following year. The deadline for transfer applications is later than for freshman applications.

You may want to build a solid record at the cc before contacting HSC again. This may be after the first set of midterms, when you have something new to show to HSC. Or you can wait until application time. You will need as well to forge relationships with some cc profs who can write you a good recommendation letter.

For the moment, however, it is best not to contact HSC again unless you know there may be available spots remaining after acceptances are all in.

cool. thanks.
