when to expect a decision

OK…Thank you. But how do you know?

decline the request. I get this message from a superadvisor.

is supervisor

I don’t know for sure, all I know is myself as well as several other people I know who applied to UofM whose stats were definitely “on the fence” (and some I am certain are rejections… 3.0GPA and 23 ACT for one of my friends) all received application tracker changes on Feb 17. Everyone else with better stats got admitted earlier. Like I said, I’m not for sure, but we’ll see…

@wintergreen2276 mine didn’t change to that yet :/

“application is being carefully considered” are rejections."

Not at all - my daughter was accepted after this message had been displayed for a week.

If in a personal email, the office supervisor told me that I have been declined the request, so…is this a rejection? Are there any chances to change? I mean the formal notification has not been came out.

If you look at last years post as this same time period, some were accepted some were wait listed. Keep the faith !!! I am

My application status just recently changed to “Your application is being very carefully considered.” on Feb. 20, so my fingers are crossed on this one!

Good luck to everyone as well!

@photography89 mine finally changed to that too :)

Awesome CarmelApple! Just wondering what college you applied to and what your stats are.

I think I’m on the fence with my stats, but I applied to engineering, which I’m probably a straight up rejection for.
3.6 W, 31 ACT, OOS, and alright EC’s (nothing that would especially stick out).
The status finally changed on Feb 17 to being carefully considered, and I have kind of a bad feeling about that.
And all my friends who have been accepted heard back a long time ago, so I’m a little worried :frowning:
Does anyone know when to expect a decision after your status changes to being carefully considered?

@Bharglee, it could take up to a week

Ahh. Well I’ve waited about 5 months now, So i guess I could wait another week. :)

@spankycollege I didn’t say all application tracker “you’re application is being carefully considered” are rejections. Key word: FEB17 changes. If you’re application tracker changed to “your application is being carefully considered” on FEB17 or after, it’s a rejection.

@wintergreen. How do you know that all application changes on Feb 17 or afterwords is a rejection? Do you know anyone that works there?

I think at this point, people are just assuming rejections are coming out. In the past, rejections started coming out the last week of February, early March. Its all just guess work. I haven’t heard of any rejections yet, but I’m pretty sure they start coming out in March. I was waitlisted, so I know those decisions are slowing coming out as well. Still, Good luck to everyone  Acceptances are still coming out too!

My transfer application for CSE finally changed to “carefully considered”… should get the letter by the end of the week.

My application also just changed to “carefully considered” today. I applied for CSE and I don’t have a very good feeling about this. I have almost 50 credits from Normandale from doing PSEO but my ACT is only 24.

Feb.17 started to show:your application is being balbal…
I got a rejection…
bless all you guys~!
