when to expect a decision

I am a Feb 17 person…the verdict? REJECTION. I don’t care, I lost interest a long time ago because they waited such a long time to give me a decision.

Got mine today and I got waitlisted.

I’m one of the Feb. 17 people, and I got waitlisted.

I’m surprised. (Pleasantly, I suppose.)

I also got waitlisted. So do we just wait for an update or we have to do something?

It says that they’ll let us know by April 15th…

then what’s this for? "<a href="http://admissions.tc.umn.edu/pdfs/10-11_Appeal_Waitlist.pdf">http://admissions.tc.umn.edu/pdfs/10-11_Appeal_Waitlist.pdf</a>"</p>

The appeal process is for students who can provide a compelling request to have their application reconsidered. However, you should probably talk to your admissions counselor before hand. It has been known to work in past years, but it all depends on your essay. I would also say if you were waitlisted within the past week, wait to appeal. Again, talk to your admissions counselor first. They’ll let you know if its worth your while.

I got waitlisted and was notified on Feb. 25th (I checked online) =/ my stats weren’t so great when I applied in late September, so I’m pretty surprised, actually.

= =!为什么今年明尼苏达双城分校那么难进?
Why Is it so difficult to get an offer from UoM this year?

They had 37,000 applications for 5800 spots.

My status is still February 20, 2011: Your application is being very carefully considered…

If you can not receive a notification after your application status changes to show that: your appplication is being very carefully… That means a rejection generally.
But you should not to be sad, All things could be changed.
Be patient and wait for your response.
Good luck guys!

O~~~My god!

I got waitlist

I never had the status changed to carefully considration, my status only changed to

Feb 2: We have forwarded your application to the college for review. You can expect to receive a decision within the next four weeks. .

And i haven’t heard from them yet, having a bad feeling about this.

Be patient. No news is the best news!
Up! Bless all you guys!

Waitlisted… Oh well, at least I got into UIUC

I got in last month as a transfer student. However, hard to decide UIUC or UMN

My d was waitlisted in February. Her status on Application Tracker stay ed that way until a week and a half ago when it changed (I thought encouragingly) to “Your application is being very carefully considered.” Given that one of the theater professors lobbied Admissions on her behalf it was looking good for her first choice (Muhlenberg was #2 and Wisconsin was #3 - accepted at both). Alas, it was not to be. There was no further change on the website but a polite rejection letter arrived two days ago. So, Muhlenberg it is. Being a badger I was pulling for UW but agreed with her top two.

My d was one of the Feb 17 waitlistees. Application tracker yesterday said she had been sent an email, but there was nothing in her inbox. She called this a.m. and was told she’s on an extended waitlist. I guess we wait until after May 1.
