When to Pay Common App Fee?

I submitted the pre-application supplement on commonapp.org, and now I'm wondering when I should pay the $70 application fee.

Thanks!

If what I remember is correct, you can pay the fee anytime before the common app deadline. Some schools require that you pay your fee before you can submit the main part of the common app. But most schools you will be free to choose when you pay. If it wasn’t required to submit the common app, I always paid it right after I submitted a common app for a school – just in case I ended up not submitting the common app to a school.

^This makes sense.

I’m particularly interest because I’m applying ED elsewhere and I wouldn’t want to waste cash paying for apps that I’ll have to withdraw in the case that I do get in ED.

Just pay as soon as you can. I already paid and I’m applying RD [not applying ED anywheree]

You can wait to submit your RD applications and pay the application fee after Dec. 15, when you will know your ED result.
