When to provide act scores?

I want to apply to connecticut college an was wondering if i should give them my act score of 24 as they do not require test scores for admission. I will be re-taking the act soon and am hoping i do better (around the 27 range).

Also was wondering if i have an ok chance to get in as of now (i know sorry wrong section but i thought i'd kill two birds with one stone).

My gpa 3.5 cumulative, i am a white male, i am from a rural area on the western slope of colorado, i am a member of the national honers society, various clubs and extra curriculars including sports. I know that is not very detailed but its a basic overview.

Thanks CC

Totally in the wrong section my apologies

Bump …anyone?

Your ACT is way too low for Conn Col…so do not send.

mid 50s range
ACT Composite: 27 - 31

Thanks for the reply. Would i still have a chance of getting in without sending test scores if i did not do better?

Depends…

If you get a 27, you’re still near the bottom 25%…that’s never a good place to be.

If you get a 30, then send.

I don’t know the ratio at Conn Coll, but if it’s “low in males,” than that’s maybe going to help with your admission.

Does your GPA show an upward trend? Is that weighted? Have you taken a rigorous course load?

What other schools are on your list?

What schools are your financial safety schools?

I would not send in the ACT score if it is below the 25% for the school. The score will not help you in admissions. A GPA of 3.5 would be a reach for Conn College but being male may help because my recollection is that Conn College is at least 60% female.

My GPA does show a very good upward trend, getting a 3.7 both semesters junior year and yes that is weighted. I have taken a relatively rigorous course load inluding IB classes. My safety school and financial safety school is probably Colorado University at Boulder.

Also i am curious to where you are getting these statistics from
