So if a college's deadline for SAT report is FEB-01 BUT it allows scores from the Jan. 26th SAT, what are you supposed to do? Send in old scores and update them that you are taking the JAN test and then send in new scores around FEB 15TH? I am so lost...

Bump. Answer please?

I am taking the SAT IIs on the 26th, which two of my schools require. Their deadlines were both on the 1st.
I contacted the school's admission office well in advance of the application deadline and asked them if these scores would be accepted. After they said yes, they said that as long as you indicate on your Common App that you will be taking these tests, they will wait for the scores.

Just make sure to have the right college recipients on your registration and you should be fine (as long as you contact your colleges). The scores won't be available until mid-Feb, so you have time. :)

good luck!

Ah! Thank you so much!
Did you already indicate on your common app that you were taking the test? I didn't - should I notify them in writing or by phone?

same question! I'm taking sat 1 again in jan but didn't indicate on my applications.

I didn't either....what should I do??

I've called one of the schools I was applying to and they've said that it's fine if it's "late" as long as I rush the scores. But I don't think the same would apply for all schools everyone is applying to. Does anyone on CC know?

some said they can't guarantee the score will arrive on time but from past experiences, socres does arrive on time

what does this mean? should i take the risk?

i would call the individual colleges to make them aware of the situation. generally, all admissions offices are open to new scores with the hopes that they will be in your favour. some may ask that the scores are rushed (one of mine has asked that), so it's best that you contact each individual school so they are aware and you can comply with any requests that they have.

i did indicate on the common app that i was going to take the SAT IIs in January. if you didn't, i'm sure that it won't be a problem.

good luck!! :]
