When to retake?

I got a 2170 on this recent March SAT (720 CR/720 M/730 W). I'm planning on when to retake it. I've already signed up for subject tests on May. IDK if I should retake the SAT on June (while the test taking is still fresh?) or October/November (then I have the whole summer to prepare). If I'm going to take the SAT again on June, I'm gonna have the time right after the AP test to start preparing.

So here are my two options:

1.
May - Subject Tests
June - SAT I retake
October - Subject Tests/SAT I 3rd and Final Time
November - Subject Tests/SAT 1 3rd and Final Time

2.
May - Subject Tests
June - nada
October - Subject Tests/SAT I 2nd (final try)
November - Subject Tests/SAT I 2nd (final try)

The thing I have with the first option is that I don't think that I'm going to get what I want (2300+) anyways, with only a month worth of studying, because my teachers are a pain and still give work even after AP tests. I just don't want to throw away $45 bucks, especially with my parents being stingy.

The thing I have with the 2nd option is that I can only try it for the 2nd time, and that's it. Whatever score I get there, I have to deal with it.

Any thoughts? I would appreciate any feedback.

…anyone?

Well, since AP teachers are giving you work after AP exams, I suggest the second option then, but at least try June and see if you can get a higher score on one section for a superscore. However, depend on college you’re going to.

I think if you’re able to get a 2170 for your first try, you can probably get 2300+ if you really try over the summer. So choice 2.

I would not enjoy stressing all summer over studying the SAT. There’s so many other things to do including ECs, College visits, and Essays.
Plus you’ll end up procrastinating until the end of August because the test isn’t given until October, which will seem so far away.

I would go with choice 1.

yeah I’m thinking of doing choice 1 too, I figured that alot of my errors were silly mistakes, like I had the answer down but I just had to second guess myself on alot of things.

Plus if things don’t work out in June, I can always take it again in October/November for a 3rd time.
