I am applying to two colleges in the USA. The deadline is December 15 and it consists of several parts (Basic Information, Test information, Teacher recs, etc.). Is it a problem if my teacher recommendations reach the colleges before I send in my application? Or should I send in the Basic Information part right now? Does it matter at all?</p>
<p>They will open a file for you as soon as any piece of paper arrives with your social security number on it. The recs can arrive before the app. The way that you are describing the Basic Information part sounds as if you might possiblly have a two part form. Some colleges have you fill out a Part 1 and after they receive it and your application fee, then they mail you a Part 2 to be filled out. There is obviously a time delay involved.</p>
