Well this isn't so much apps as it is transcripts. I've had a pretty lackluster high school academic experience, and needless to say my grades this semester are going to be very important for me getting into schools. I think I'm doing pretty good, but my math class which is way harder than I anticipated is hovering around that C range, but everything else is a B or A. I know I can get it up by the end of the semester, but I want to apply to all my colleges early since I know that will help my chances. Should I hold off until the grade goes up or just send my transcript in anyway?

Are you applying EA or RD? If you’re applying EA, send them in anyway and just wait for your mid-year transcript to show how much you’ve improved.

But won’t they just see the one transcript that my school sends in?

Needing to show improvement your sr year is a good reason NOT to apply early. The possible advantages may very well be counteracted by the fact that schools won’t see your first semester grades before making decisions.

I thought OP didn’t want the colleges to see his senior year grades due to senioritis.

I thought that this was the OPs main concern:

But you’re right, they also said:

Which confuses the matter, but then they go on to say:

So, my conclusion was that he did poorly early on in HS, wants colleges to see sr year grades to make up for them. Has done poorly in one class early in sr year but thinks they can bring the grade up by the end of the first semester, but wants to apply early, which means that first semester grades will not be a factor since they don’t come out until after decisions are made.
