how late is too late to send in the housing form if i want to live in new/north or birkrant? I'm still waiting to hear from other schools and have to do some more visits so im not sure if i'm going to sc or not, so i can't send in the form as of now.

it's only $25, why don't u just send it

You have to accept admission to USC before you can send in the $25.00 housing form. At least that's how I read it.

Where did you read that? I sent in my housing form before accepting admission to USC..

I read all the fine print, and you loose the 25 bucks if you don't go. They'll send you a contract in the mail in May, but if you don't sign that, you're not obligated to pay anything else. I already sent in mine, too, though I may end up at CMU instead. Too many choices!

Yeah, that's to be expected. It wouldn't make any sense if the $25 was refundable.

wait, so can you send in the housing and not the enrollment? which is it b/c i just sent in the housing and not a deposit of $300 to say im going there. and if i do send the 300 dollars, will i get priority for housing over those who havent or just those who send housing after me?

I think that housing is all that matters for housing. UT has a similar system, but to a greater extreme, where people usually apply for housing before they send in their applications and they just mail a $75 housing fee.

I'm pretty much ashamed to ask this... but on the housing envelope it says first-class postage... does that just mean a stamp? Or do I need to take it to the window. (Actually, I am embarrased)

Yes, it's just a stamp (or multiple stamps, depending on the value) - this is called "first-class postage." I think it's now 37 cents or so.

none of that book-rate and mass mailing crap!
