I am a little confused about when to request the College board people to send SAT scores to the various schools to which my d is applying. So far, we have not sent any scores to any schools. My daughter took the SAT I exam in March and June and is registered to take it again this Saturday, Oct. 8.

Several of the schools to which my d is applying, have Nov. 1 deadlines for priority consideration and others are rolling admissions so we are trying to get the complete applics in as early as possible but no later than Nov. 1.

Should we put in our request for the scores to be sent to the early deadline/ rolling admission schools now? But that request will not include the Oct. 8 scores, which will not even be available until October 22 or so. So, we will have to pay a second time for the newest scores to be sent.

More importantly, some schools may consider her application before receiving the last set of scores. If her scores end up going up significantly, she could be hurt by that. On the other hand, if we wait until late Oct when the last set of scores become available to request that her SAT scores be sent, the schools may not get them until mid-Nov. and she may miss some deadlines or miss the prime time to be considered by rolling admissions schools like Penn State.

I feel like I'm missing something obvious. Can anyone set me straight on the proper timing?
