When to send scores?

I'm applying to college right now.

I took the ACT in October of this year. I wasn't quite satisfied with my score so I'm retaking it tomorrow, the December test. On the ACT website it says scores should be available for viewing by the 19th. They were right on the date for the last test, so I think this will be right, too.

So...should I wait until the 19th, see what score is better, then send that one? The earliest deadline I have is the 31st of December. But would that be too late to request scores to be sent? Or should I just send them both, not knowing which one is better? That costs more, and would only be a difference of about 2 weeks, timewise.

So wait to see scores and send better one, or send both now?

pleeease???

Sending your scores on December 19th to meet a deadline of December 31st is a horrid idea; score reports tend to take over a week, and the holidays only make it worse.

You should send your scores now.

But with schools with a December 31st deadline, that doesn't mean scores have to be RECEIVED by the 31st, right?

For one school with that deadline, they say the latest possible that you can take the ACT is the February test. So...
