I am taking AP Calc AB, Physics 1, Lang + Comp, and Gov. Is it too early to start studying for the AP tests yet? If I get the prep books now, will new updated versions come out on a couple of months (February-ish) making the ones I have useless? If so, is it better to wait until then to get the books or will updated versions not likely be released in the upcoming months? And if I get the books now and updated ones are released, are the books I will have be ok to study with or will it be much better if I get the updated versions in place of them?
Also a sub question: Apparently all the AP Physics 1 prep books suck, and the AP Physics 1 Essentials book sucks the least. Is this true?
It’s never to early to start studying! That being said, you do not HAVE to start studying now, but it certainly won’t hurt. Prep books can also be useful for reviewing for things you’ll be tested on in class.
For Calc, Lang, Comp, and Gov, the books shouldn’t change any between now and closer to the test. Physics I was a new test last year, I believe, and that’s probably why the books were so bad. They didn’t have much to go off of. I would try and look for a book put out after the last test for that class. (The others shouldn’t matter as they are the same tests as previous years) There may or may not be more of those put out over the course of the year.
I didn’t start studying until like 4 days before the exams, lol. I got fours and fives on all of them.
