<p>IMNSHO, get off CC until you’re a rising junior and focus on doing what you love and what challenges you. Adcoms can tell when people are trying to pull the wool over their eyes, so to speak, and your app will come off better if it’s genuine and not contrived to try to gain acceptance. Also, broaden your search when it comes time to apply, and find at least a few match/safety schools that you would be happy at, because Harvard is hit or miss for everyone.</p>
<p>If I was choosing between band and law, though, unless you want to be a lawyer stick with band. The Ivy league likes commitment and ditching band for a law elective doesn’t seem like a great trade off.</p>
