Hello,

I'm currently a Junior and considering submitting Track and Field Questionnaires to several schools. When would be the best time to do this?

There are several threads about this already on this forum–go back a year and search forward and you’ll find a lot of information. The answer really depends on your times as they relate to the schools you are interested in–if you already have times that are as good or better than the best people on the teams, do it now. If you need your junior season to see if your times improve, wait until your season is over. It won’t be too late.

I don’t want to open new thread so I’ll post here. I didn’t take my SAT yet, should I send questionnaires anyway? BTW I’m international, junior.

Email the coaches and try to get an email exchange going. More effective than filling out questionnaires, especially if they need to be updated. In fact, you can even ask the coaches if, and when, you should submit the questionnaires.

Thanks for quick response. So I should tell them my best times and awards, anything else?

Until you have SAT or ACT scores you really have no idea whether you are an admissions candidate for any particular school or not.

If OP is a junior, s/he probably has a pretty good idea what SAT/ACT might look like (e.g. based on PSAT or practice tests, previous tests).

Also, state your GPA, your school, maybe some extra-curriculars; and try to personalize your email so it shows that you’ve looked at the college team’s web site.
