When to take AP tests

Hey all, I'm newer here, but I was wondering if you could offer help. My sophomore year is wrapping up, and I'm nervous about standardized testing. Our school only offers two AP classes, one of which I am taking next year (AP English and Composition); the other, senior year (AP Calc). I was planning to I.S. study for some that are not offered, or wait until I take my second year of sciences in the hopes that will prepare me. My physics 2 class is next year, and advanced biology and chemistry 2 would be senior year. Would it make sense to take some AP tests at the end of my senior year? Thanks!

Hi there.
It may not be ideal to take those tests at the end of senior year. Here’s why I tell you this: you think you will not be hit with senioritis. However, then senior year comes and you are accepted to college. It is so hard to study for APs that you have taken the class for. To independent study at the end of senior year is going to be hard. That being said, I do not think Physics would be wise to IS for before you have a classroom background. Bio is doable because it is just a lot of info and memorization.
All studying aside, there is nothing wrong with taking AP’s for credit at the end of senior year. Your college will still receive your scores and assess them for credit.
