Helping my daughter plan a few subject tests for next year and was wondering if any of you took the SAT Biology subject test after taking just one year of IB Bio HL? If so, how did you do? Or should she wait?
Her teacher could tell her how closely the content matches the subject test. My D’s IB Physics teacher said they cover a lot the subject test content in the second year but either way she would need to self study, not sure if bio is the same.
I took IB Bio HL and took the SAT Bio subject test in the second year (October). I got 730 on Biology E (but I didn’t study all that much…so not the best score) Honestly, it depends on your daughter’s teacher and how fast the teacher is making them work. Best thing to do will be to ask the teacher what he/she would recommend.
Based on how I felt after the exam, I would say that taking it in November would be good…though it probably is a bit late. Either way, she will have to self-study a bit.
