When to take SAT?

I am in a bit of a dilemma- I will be taking the SAT 2 more times (May/June, early fall SR year- got a 1970 1st time in Dec. (620/730/620, CR/M/W), shooting for 2100+). I will also be taking the AP World exam this May (self studying), and I plan to take the SAT II test for it as well. The subject test is only offered in June and December though, which is my problem. If I take the SAT in May, I have the test on the 4th, and also have AP Chem AND AP Psych on the 6th (SSing Psych). I will be studying heavily for them, and SAT studying is a tedious task as well. I am worried that I will not be able to prepare for the SAT as much if I took it in May vs if I took it in June when school is over and that would be my only task. But if I take it in June, I would have to take the World History SAT in December of next year. I believe I would essentially have to "re-cram" for this test in December, as it would be 7 months from when I took the AP test.

Can I get some thoughts on this? Does preparing for the SAT outweigh taking the SATII World near the AP Test? Any responses are highly appreciated.

You should focus on AP and subject test for now. You still have the whole summer to prepare for the SAT1. If necessary, you may take twice in Fall and still be on time for college applications.

@billcsho - By you saying take it twice in Fall, you mean not taking one this spring, correct?

Bumppppp Help please?

Only one answer? :(

I would take the SAT I in May, then the SAT II in June, and the SAT (if you need it again) in October. You still have plenty of time!

That’s what I plan on doing right now, seems to be the best option, I’ll just have to grind it out the next month and a half.

Bumppppppp

No. I mean you can take it in October and then in November again if necessary. The November result may be late for some EA/ED though.
