I graduated college last June and want a bit time off before starting school again, have a question

If you take the test june 2009 that means you start fall 2010, right? or if you take it june 2010 you start fall 2011? Can you take the lsat the same year that you intend to be in law school? Thanks

Different schools have different policies: check the schools’ websites.

Once you take the LSAT, your scores are good for 5 years. However, some school want scores that are no older than 3 years old.

the LSAT is given in October, December, February and June.

If you plan on starting in Fall 2010, your best bet would be to take the LSAT in October (and have your application ready to submit) when the scores come out. You can even submit your application however, it will be incomplete until they get your scores.

For this same fall 2010 cycle, feb scores would be considered really late (unless you have been deferred from ED or waitlisted earlier in the cycle and you want to give the schools another set of scores to look at).

June scores would be really really late for fall 2010 and you would be better served applying fall 2011.

hope this helps
