When to take the SAT?

<p>I am a student in Ireland and I just have a few questions about the SAT and SAT II tests.
When can i take them if I am applying for college for 2011/2012 year?
What SAT II tests should I take? I want to major in Biology.
How long should I study for the SAT? As in a time frame, 2 months? 3 months? 6 months?
I hope my questions don't seem stupid, there is just so much involved in applying for college in the US and as an international student it is all a bit overwhelming.

<p>Are you a senior? If so, you should have taken all the SAT’s fall of you senior year/spring junior year, and should have sent your app’s already. You may have to take a gap year, unless there’s some other way out, which I don’t know since I am international too.</p>

<p>I’m still a junior (well i just finished my junior year). I haven’t applied yet I’ll write my apps through summer, retake my SAT in october and hopefully send them out in time. I’ll apply to many schools, mostly on west coast (Cali, Arizona, Texas).</p>
