Hey, i was just wondering when i should take the sat. Im a sophmore this year and I am planning on taking it in Jan. I know most people take it their junior year but I want to take it this year to see how I do and then prepare even more for the SAT junior year.

Is this too early to take the test?

No, try it. Since now because of new score-reporting policy you don't have to show all of your scores.

I took the SAT in June of sophomore year and did alright (~2100) and I'm now taking it for the second and hopefully last time in November of junior year. I say once you've had all the classes (e.g. up to Algebra II, I believe) you should go ahead and take it, especially with the new score choice policy. I'd rather get these things done than be like any of the very stressed seniors I saw in my ACT on Saturday -- talk about procrastinating...

Yes, it is too early. But January is a good time to take the SAT I

what exactly is this "score report policy"? I've heard a little about it. but does it go in effect by January?

I'm a sophomore too, and I really won't bother to start thinking about taking this test until I'm a senior. It's funny because some of my friends are preparing now and taking courses (90% of those are asian friends, don't ask me why, I don't know either).

You could try it I guess if you want to.

Are the SAT's that big of a deal? lmao...all I know is that the max score is a 2400.

Is it like the psat, because I took that a couple weeks ago but I thought it was boring and was tired so I just slept and bubbled in random answers (esp. reading, I slept).

Do these tests actually matter a lot, lol.

^So what are you doing in this forum?

Invoyable is strange. He is an outsider who doesn't have anything better to do then to tell everybody how much he ACTUALLY doesn't care about school. Weird...

Uh oh, he's not normal.

Hahah, Invoyable is just cooler than all of us.

Again, all I can say is that I think preparing for the SAT is ridiculous.
