<p>Hello all, my question is pretty simple.</p>
<p>When do people star tto take the PSAT and the real Sat?</p>
<p>The reason I ask is because I'm going to be a junior and all my serious classes I guess you could say (AP, etc) are all this year, so do most just take the PSAT this year then at the end of junior year take the SAT? I mean I don't wanna take it just yet if I don't feel I'm prepared, if someone co uld enlighten me on this process that would be great.</p>
<p>You will take the PSAT in October of this year since you are a junior.
Take the SAT when you have sufficiently prepared for it.
Start preparing by obtaining this book:

<p>give yourself enough time to take the SAT at least twice if not 3 times.</p>
<p>^ Yeah, including saving some testing dates for SAT IIs.</p>
<p>So I know the PSATs are in october, but when do I look at taking the real ones, and also do I take both the old and the new, or just the new one?</p>
<p>Another quick Q, do they take both of your highest SAT scores and average them, thats what I inderstood if i recall correctly.</p>
<p>I'm thinking maybe directly after Junior year like that summer, I dunno how long the tests take to come back.</p>
<p>Also does anyone who speak Classical Latin find it useful for the exam, I'm teaching myself some because:</p>
<p>A. I'm gonna be taking spanish up till AP hopefully.
B. It helps in my english and spanish.
C. I found it interesting.
D. I thought it would help for the SATs.</p>
