When to transfer?

I applied for New College of Florida but got rejected. I got accepted to UCF, and is where I am currently attending. I want to know when should I consider applying for transfer? I always heard you should enter your junior years since everything before is just basics. But, I want to see if I can enter early so I can get used to the school. Also, what things should I do my freshman year in UCF to have a better chance to get accepted as a tansfer?

I would be applying for UF and FSU, also. not only NCF

If you enter sophomore year, your high school records and test scores will be considered. If you were bad in high school and got rejected from this school out of high school, it would be best to wait it out after 2 years. However, if you were really close, e.x. waitlisted, then a solid college GPA could put you over the edge into the admit category.

To have a better chance of acceptance, the obvious is to perform well and get a good GPA. In addition, take serious courses. One of the best things you can do is get to know one or two professors well enough that you can get good recommendations. Good luck.

Would if affect my chances in getting transferred my junior year if I get rejected my sophmore year?

also, this is my schedule:
Fall:
Human Species
Finite Math
Eng Comp II
Inter Fre
Human Trad I

Spring:
Inter Fre II
Fund of Oral (speech)
Statistics using excel
human trad II

sound good? I might drop one class from fall, though. I think it might be too much.

Not if you present them with a stronger application.

There don't seem to be any blow off classes, you look good.

I would suggest making sure your classes are transferable (they probably are...but just to be safe, verify).

Having your AA in hand would probably help.
