<p>I was wondering the best time to transfer? my highschool GPA was dreadful (2.7 unweighted) so should I wait until december after my 1st semes. is over so I have grades to show? with H.S. applicants they say the sooner the better but is it the same for transfering?</p>

<p>If your HS record isn’t great…it’s probably best to complete one full year of college before applying. Since you’re at a CC…I would recommend you stay there and complete the 2 year program. This way when you apply for transfer…the adcom has 1.5 years of grades plus your spring semester mid-term grades to look at. If you do well…it can only help you and (a bonus!) your HS numbers will not count that much. </p>
<p>If you applied right now…they adcom would have only your first semester grades and your spring mid-term (estimates) grades. Your HS grades would be an important factor in the admission decision.</p>
