<p>Does anyone know when roommate decisions will be released?</p>
<p>This past year they were released in August a few weeks before school started. DS found out online. They will provide you with the roommate’s name, email, and phone number to get in touch if you want.</p>
<p>Ditto…it was just two weeks before school started for my son who is in a traditional freshman dorm (not honors or any special housing).</p>
<p>Wait until every one going to every other school in the country knows. Then wait some more. Then forget. Then remember and wait some more. Then maybe find out if there were no screw ups.</p>
<p>:D Or, be told who your roommate is, call her up, have her mom tell you that they told UMD that she wasn’t attending. Then go a couple of weeks with no roommate. Then, on the SAME DAY, have two different roommates assigned to the same bed. 
Chalk it up to UMD being way, way large… It all works out, but usually not as early (or sometimes as efficient) as you want it to be!!!</p>
<p>I don’t know, my DD goes to a college with about 400 undergraduate students and she called her assigned roommate in the middle of the summer, only to be told that she was not going to be in a dorm, then got no answer for weeks about another roommate then was assigned a roommate right before school started. It’s like a giant shell game, no matter the size of the school, I guess.</p>
