<p>Yeah some people start hearing back in January, I think I read it’s a couple weeks after you send in your mid year report.

<p>Notes I’ve taken from the 2009 admissions thread for curious applicants like me:</p>
<p>You get an e-mail notification with admissions decision notification, sometimes minerva tells before e-mail gets sent</p>
<p>2009 (erased names for anonymousicity)
s: recieved mid-term report 2/10; accepted before 2/21
Z: recieved mid-term report 2/12; accepted 2/16
a: sent mtr ~1/1, recieved 2/11; accepted 2/19; scholarship 2/28
w: recieved mtr 2/19; accepted 2/20</p>

<p>Wow really? So if my school sent my midterm report last week (we run on trimesters, so trimester 1 is used as a midterm report) I can expect a decision January ish?</p>
<p>yeah i wouldn’t be surprised if you were one of the first to find out. i think it takes a while for them to get it, but after they do the processing seems fast.
i need to go ahead and send it when i get back to school (i’m from texas) so it’ll take a while</p>

<p>processing takes forever! my counselor sent out my transcript mid december, and on minerva, it still says they haven’t received/processed it! i know they have it somewhere, but they must not have had the time to process it yet. they have everything else of mine though, thank god! what faculties are you applying to? i am applying to the faculty of management. i also applied for the major scholarship! i think i will be withdrawing all of my other applications if i get accepted, because mcgill is definitely my number one!! i’m so nervous for february!</p>
<p>that’s awesome that your school runs on trimesters- you’re so lucky!!! mcgill won’t release any decisions until jan 30th though so even if they received your m.r in two weeks you’d be waiting until that date ): generally people receive a decision by early feb but they stretch their decisions over a two month period for americans so you could find out in late march depending on your academic qualifications!</p>
