When will Arafat die already?

It's now being speculated that Arafat may be taken off of life support very soon.

I'm so confused. First is low blood platelet levels, then a coma, then just perfect, then liver, now what? This is the most complicated death ever, fitting I suppose. Plus, his own Eva Brown is calling the shots and thinks they wanna burry her hubby alive. Like the election, can't wait for this all to be over.

Now some sites are reporting Arafat again. Of course, this is also the third time the media said he was dead. He won't be buried in Jerusalem, which is good, since it would not only be an injustice to the Israelis, but to the Palestinians he screwed over so many times.

Amen, waffle! He should have been burried in J-town if he'd contributed something to the world. Instead all he did is pass up the biggest deal of the century and cause the loss of lives on both sides.

His body should be left to be eaten by rabid dogs...

What I want to know is why are we being given all the updates as to what organ has failed and when? Can't they just say his condition is 'grave' already???

Now his liver and kidneys are failing, and his brain is only partially functioning. He's now gonna be buried in Ramallah (Sharon approved it). Palestinian officials are saying he may only have hours to live. I think this is it. I heard they may pull the plug tonight.

The article about his death just came out.

he kicked the bucket.

Indeed. I was off by 2-3 days. Well, this concludes the life of a person (disputable, of course) that could have done so much and prevented so much violence. Hopefully this clears the way for progress.

Remember folks, sometimes it's the devil we know versus the devil we don't know. Now comes the devil we don't know. For those of us who believe in prayer, now is the time to double up.

His body should be left to be eaten by rabid dogs...

there is way too much hate on this board. you guys need to seriously address where you are drawing your inspiration for each day you live, when you seem motivated by such terrible hate.

Well I share that sentiment, but it wouldn't be too realistic to do so. Any person that has the chance to help his people, and I mean in a big way--from a "people" rejected by every neighbor in the world to getting your own doggone state--and this person turns it down for the hell of it just to resort back to violence, doesn't sit well with me. It wouldn't be too far a stretch to place Arafat's name next to the Hitlers and Milosovics of the world.

it isnt up to us to decide whats realistic and who we can condemn to hell. thats up to god. i dont care what kind of man you think he was, theres evil in one's heart when one rejoices in someone else's death.
it is never realistic or okay to hate. don't give in.

hmm... what I meant was that it isn't realistic to let him "be eaten by rabid dogs." I don't know how you could have misunderstood my post.

yeah i didnt want him to be eaten by rabid dogs, i was pointing out the immense hate on the board. that was a quote. if you notice, my entire post is about how you (not specifically you) should free your heart of judgement and hatred, becuase its just horrible and ugly. i thought you agreed, but it turns out you agreed to tearing open a dead mans body. um. this shows our difference in opinion. what i would suggest is that you take a good look at whats in your heart, and if it IS mostly hatred and anger, you need to figure out whats putting it there. i dont want you to get offended or testy, but you just seemed so hateful, i was taken aback.

He's dead.

yeah. today.

Film, it's not as if there is only anger in me heart [irish accent]. I am pretty happy he kicked the bucket and feel a bit of anger at what he's done and not done. But it will pass, of course. Now there is a ray of hope [tear... jk]. Don't worry about offending me, it takes a real effort to do so :-).
