Alright, I’m going to screenshot and blur out all contact info for the sake of privacy and hopefully put some end to this controversy…

There it is, all edited to omit any names. Have fun. And, yes, I know my email is visible. That’s fine.

Thanks maserrano, I think that makes it pretty clear. Check the mail after Wednesday…lol:) Good luck everyone!!

lol I hope BC doesn’t proverbially smack the **** out of me. haha

Dear juniormom93 : Boston College acceptances have in past years come in large envelopes with a variety of admission materials, deposit information, and a host of other goodies. Small envelopes will be deferrals or rejections.

Typically, acceptance letters will be accompanied by a brief written note from one of the application readers, particularly for the Honors Program candidates.

Expect that you will be receiving a phone call from Boston College students (like mine) if you are accepted. They will ask if you have any questions or whether you need additional information.

Best wishes and good luck for your son!

Dear maserrano : To avoid the “smacking”, be sure to have your regular decision applications lined up and ready to go. Trying to complete those applications after a negative decision from a key target school is very difficult. Therefore, use the next 48 hours to get all of your “RD ducks-in-a-row”. While you cannot change the Boston College results (positive or negative), you can be proactive with your own next steps if needed.

scottj - thanks. yeah, i have 5 rd schools ready to go, and i have uvm and ud lined up as safeties (i get the uvm decision tomorrow) so i’m set with that. i was speaking specifically in regard to posting that email…lol

what if I’m an international applicant?
will they just let me know via email?

Yes, I second the quesiton of blizzard. How do we know if we’re internationals? courier? regular mail? e-mail?

@ Maserrano, how did you get the adcom’s e-mail? can you provide a link?

oh nevermind… just saw it in your pic. “Contact Us”

Dear blizzard28/Fromcalwithlove : Internationals are notified via Fed/Ex or Postal Mailings of the material. There have not been any e-mailings to students with acceptance/rejection/deferrals.

thanks scottj! I was desperately trying to find that answer good thing they send via courier.

Usps? Ups? Fedex?

so if they mailed today (Wednesday), it means that all internationals will get the decision by friday/saturday via Fedex… :)

will the agora tabs change as soon as it becomes the 15th? I’m kinda confused on this tab changing thing

apparently in years past, there have been additional tabs that show up sometime on the 15th for those who were accepted. this year, admissions people have been saying that they will not change (probably until the 25th or whatever), but that could just be what they’re telling the public so people don’t start freaking out. i guess we’ll have to wait and see tomorrow- i’m sooooooo anxious!

would that mean midnight? (5 minutes from now?)
or sometime during the day of the 15th?
i really want to find out loll

i’m assuming it’s probably during the day… but God knows i’m checking in exactly three minutes.

Agreed, Pikachuu.

From reading threads of past years, it looks like they won’t change at midnight, but we might as well stay up these last few minutes and see :)

Actually, they might not even show up until thus evening…if at all. Ugh.
