When will Carleton release RD decisions?

Well, yes.

I live two states east of Minnesota, so hopefully I’ll get mine sooner than the end of that week. :)

well, I guess it’s better to wait 15 days than 17 days…

When Carleton does mail the decisions, you’ll be able to watch the U.S. Postal Service work, like ripples on a pond, through this forum. Minnesotans will get their letters first, and so on. Ah, yes, I remember it well. ;)

It seems like Carleton always mails them on a Friday. Minnesota residents get them on Saturday, then Sunday…, then it starts to filter through the rest of the country.

There’s not a certain date letters go out–admissions tries to make sure everyone gets their letters by April 1st at the latest, but they really just go out when decisions have all been made. :)

I’m hanging around in the campus, and it seems the post office is getting ready to mail out the results out, but I’m not sure.

You should totally stick around, act as our mole and tell us when they get sent. ;)

^I agree.

10char

anyone got letters yet?

I have just talked to a post office employee, it seems that admissions office is not mailing decisions though them, but rather through some external mail. He did say, however, that the decisions are going to be mailed really soon – so it’s probably either today or Monday.

hyperventilates So soon? That’s good to hear.

I had a dream last night that I got into Carleton… it made me happy… :)

WOW. Hope you can get into it. If so, tell me. I am coming to Carleton(ED II admitted).

My Daughter just got a waitlist letter. We are in Minn, Twin Cities area.

Daughter got an acceptance today in Twin Cities area. Letter dated 3/19. A happy first post. Good luck to everyone else waiting. Shouldn’t be long now.

Ok, so the did send them out yesterday indeed. That was fast. Good luck (for the 10th time) with your decisions.

Does anyone happen to know if internationals get e-mails or have to wait for letters too?

Internationals will get letters as well.

Last year it was no emails, mail to everyone, I think it’s same this year. Acceptances are mailed using urgent mail though, UPS I think. Last year I got mine on April 5-ish, but they were mailed later, too. Don’t freak out immediately if you get a small envelope first – it could be a letter from a department you specified you are interested in, not rejection/waitlist. The acceptance packet usually comes a day after the department letter (scared some of the people I know at first).

I just received my acceptance letter today!!! I am also in the twin cities area. Good luck to those of you still waiting!

I received my acceptance letter today.

It was sent out yesterday.

Good Luck to everyone else.
