I applied Regular Decision... when, more or less, will I hear?

Last year, we heard in late March. Sorry I can’t be more specific, I don’t remember exactly. Good luck to you!

I believe my S got his email announcing the decision on March 25, following up on April 1 with his accpetance into the ISP.

The day can’t come soon enough… I’m sure you are all eager for news, plus D can’t wait to learn which of her friends will be joining her next year!

Northwestern said “You will receive an admission decision by mid-April.” Does that mean on a certain day in mid-April, or sometime BEFORE mid-April?

Based on previous years, I would say that it means before mid-April.

Sounds like only a few more weeks to wait!

In the mean time, are people starting to hear from any other schools you’ve applied to?

So exciting! Does anyone know how we check decisions? Do we just get an email one of these days or how exactly does it work?

@postscript2011 - I’m not sure about RD, but for ED the news that there was a decision available online arrived via e-mail. By the way, several people later found the e-mail in SPAM for some reason… I think it came from an odd address with numbers in it.

The e-mail didn’t tell you what the decision was, which was nice for those if us who wanted our kids to be able to find out the news before we did. ;-D

So before April or before mid-April?

The homepage for admissions says:“Candidates for freshman admission will be notified of their decision by March 31”
[Home Page :: Office of Undergraduate Admission - Northwestern University](http://www.ugadm.northwestern.edu/)

Its sooner than we thought :D

Again, just last year (2010) the emails for RD went out on March 25. The student will receive instructions on how/where to log in for the decision. If admitted, a hard copy letter will follow from the university, and also from the college admitted to (or at least that was the case for WCAS.)

If you’ve applied for a special program, decisions on that will follow that of the university. For example, decisions were emailed for the Integrated Science Program on April 1.

Hang in there, everyone. The finish line is rapidly approaching. Go immerse yourself in the OTHER March Madness on the basketball court to keep yourselves distracted.

Thanks everyone! Not long now. :)

Not sure if it’s relevant, but D’s ED email came from this address;

northwesternu@c.422x.com

For some reason, the notification ended up in a lot of people’s SPAM, so it might be worth adding it as a safe address in advance, so you don’t miss your news when it comes.

March 31 is in four weeks. Yikes!

3 weeks and 3 days!

So nervous!

Me too!!!

Good luck everyone. :)

I can’t believe we’ve been waiting for three months, the suspense is killing me.
