<p>My brother told me last year his solar account changed from "we will review your app" to you have been accepted etc, etc around mid december?</p>
<p>Is that going on atm? because no one I know has received that yet.</p>
<p>It said by Jan 1st. does that mean all EA apps will be looked at by jan 1st or people will receive their answers by jan 1st at the latest.</p>
<p>also I think that it is unfair that Stony Brook does not give weight to the Writing section.</p>
<p>That little section can give me an advantage over other prospective applicants</p>
<p>And it could be a disadvantage to other applicants. Either way, we don’t use it.</p>
<p>EA decisions should be available on SOLAR after January 1. If it happens earlier, then great!</p>
