When Will Financial Aid Refunds Hit Our Bank Accounts?

I've read a lot about aid paying out today for CARS, but I"ve seen conflicting things about refunds. When do they typically send out the refund you're due so you can get books?

My main concern as well. I want my book money!

once your bill has been paid, the refund usually processes within a few days, it’s especially fast when you have EFT set up

I was looking at my old emails for EFT. Email will probably be sent on Aug 18th and funds will be deposited 2 days later. Too late for books to be bought online imo. :</p>

you get a week to buy your books so it’s enough time

On the topic of EFT, if I set up EFT after the deadline, what will happen?

Also, since the money financial aid is giving me is more than my registration fees and stuff, do I get a check/payment with the rest of the money or do they keep it? I just wanted to know in case I needed to take out a loan for books.

If EFT is not set up yet by the time you have a credit balance, they cut a paper check and notify you to pick it up, then send it to the local address you have set up in Bearfacts (under Personal - Address).

After finaid pays for tuition and housing, any extra is refunded to you. It happens within three days of the payment by financial aid.
