When will I be contacted for an interview?

Yale states that interviews are evaluative, and that they are not required. I applied in early December (RD) and I haven’t been contacted to interview yet. If available, are all applicants offered an interview? When should I expect to hear about the interview opportunity? I understand I will be contacted through my Common App email (used in making my Yale account), and I have heard that many applicants miss interviews simply because they don’t see the invitation (whether that email goes to spam, promotions, or is otherwise neglected).

I would like to interview, very much so, and I was just wondering when I should expect to receive an email to interview (assuming I do receive one). There was a girl who applied last year from my school who interviewed but I don’t remember the month or how she applied (SCEA or RD).

Just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss the email and that I was informed, thanks.

Students are admitted without interviews. You’ll get an email with a message from an alum. Interview requests can happen pretty much any time before mid February, depending on the region’s coordinator.

For Yale, interview reports I think are due February 15th, so anytime before that. If there are no alumni in your area available, then you might not get one, and that’s okay! Some are going out now, I had mine a couple days ago.
Make sure to check your spam and other emails periodically, because my interviewer contacted me through an old middle school email somehow.
