I am applying to Texas A&M engineering and my application has been in review since August 15. I was just wondering how long it would take for me to get an admission decision?
Need more information. Are you auto admit?
@AliBaba8958 Since you are not in the top 10% of your graduating class, you could receive a decision before winter break but more likely to receive a decision after winter break in starting in January.
Auto admits typically begin being accepted into the University around Mid September and engineering decisions in October. The auto admits must be placed first before they know how much room they have for review admits.
The freshman engineering class is nearly half of the entire incoming class so there are lots of spaces and those who would, in the past, have qualified for academic admit (such as yourself) will likely get a seat in College Station. The decision just won’t come as soon as it used to.
WOW… I knew there were a lot of engineering students, but that really puts it in perspective!
