I applied to five schools a week ago today (Boston College, UCONN, Wentworth, Rensselaer, and Northeastern) and I've also sent in the supplements, score reports, recommendations, etc. and I have only gotten an e-mail from two schools (Northeastern and UCONN) saying they received my application. Does anyone know when I should get the rest of the confirmations?

Some send “we rec’d your application” notices by email or snail mail, within a week or 2. Some seem to send nothing at all! Some will send periodic updates until your file is complete. Some don’t let you know.

There seems to be no uniformity to this part of the process. If you are coming up on a deadline, it’s probably worth emailing or calling those admissions offices you haven’t heard from to make sure your application is complete there.

Do check your email spam filter, though. Some emails from adcoms may be stalled there.

They really are different. My son just got 2 emails from schools he applied to in September giving him his log on to check his application status. Some schools have only sent emails saying what was missing from his application. For some, he hasn’t received anything yet. Out of the 11 schools he submitted applications to, only 2 sent “we got your application” emails a few days after he submitted them.

Thanks, I applied to a few early action so I’ll call and check up on them. Also my Boston College one was in my spam folder.

I applied to UConn also. I’ve gotten emails from all my schools at this point, although some did take awhile. I’m just gonna echo Jane’s advice. For me, UChicago hasn’t updated my account to say if they have all my documents and since I’m applying EA I’m gonna check in with them.

Ah, and good luck Who knows… we may be school mates haha
