<p>I’m in the same boat. I applied November 20 something and still haven’t heard back. I’m out of state also which could be a factor but I’m not sure. Also my options on SOLAR increased two days ago so now I have a financial services, housing, and new students tab so I’m not sure what that means… Good luck to everyone else and congrats to those who’ve been accepted!</p>
<p>I think if you have those tabs you should be expect and acceptance packet soon.</p>

<p>Woo hoo!!! Son got acceptance email today. Fantastic. So excited and proud. He’s 3 for 3 so far and that gives him a lot of options. Still waiting for more NY schools replies. Keeping everything crossed.</p>
<p>My solar just started showing the campus housing/for new students tabs!! Does this actually mean an acceptance? When will should expect the formal acceptance letter?</p>

<p>@lilila yes under the admission status on the home page there’s 3 new things. It still says its being processed and will contact me if anything is needed. I’m assuming if your page shows that now, you’re basically in. Still waiting for the email though.</p>

<p>Saw the change on my D’s application tracker today as well. Very excited about this. I received my MS from this fabulous school and then went to another University in California for my Ph.D. </p>
<p>My experiences as a teaching assistant was really enjoyable with the really great student population. One summer I even got to share a house off-campus, close to the harbor, with some of these undergraduates - Cannot forget those days. Really like to see the D flourish here. At the end it will be her choice to chose her college, though Stony Brook takes her as far from home as possible (from California) and she is really looking forward to the distance factor. </p>
<p>One recommendation for the Admissions committee - since my D did not opt to take the SAT, she could not apply to the SFM Program. Please look into the option of accepting the ACT scores in the future so candidates like her are not excluded based on a choice they made about a particular standardized test. Would be nice to see this as an option in the future.</p>
<p>Keep up the great job, really looking forward to stroll around Chapin and and go to Station Pizza again after some 20 years.</p>
<p>I gained a few more tabs about 2 or 3 days before it actually said that I got accepted so I think that if you start getting the housing tab and other ones you should get your notification online soon! Congrats!</p>
<p>Yeah I am in the SFM program and was also upset that I couldn’t use my ACT for it because my score was way better on that when compared to my SAT. I guess it’s still true about the popularity of the SAT in the East and the ACT in the West.</p>
<p>My sons SOLAR site showed more tabs on Tuesday. His application status updated yesterday to Congratulations you have been accepted. No email yet. Applied early November.</p>
<p>Some kids from my school heard back this past week. Hopefully I’ll hear back soon, I applied early november. And congrats to those who got accepted!</p>
