...my question is basically in the title of this post

from admissions.nyu.edu:

"We are currently working on the paper version of the 2008 Application for Undergraduate Admission. As soon as we have a final version approved, we will post the application and all forms and instructions in .pdf format on our Application Resources page. (Use the Apply button to access this page.) The paper version of the application is about to go to the printer, but is on schedule and should be available by August 1st.

We are also working on our on-line application. It also should be ready by August 1st."

its up...!

Have fun with the application =). I'd advise until waiting until the last week (or last day) to submit it since you might be doing more extracurricular activities later, you'll know which classes you'll be taking, and etc. Also submitting it early doesn't mean you hear back earlier since it isn't rolling. I submitted my app in the last 5 hours, and I heard back on the first or second day that they released decisions. Good luck!

If you are doing ED, is it better to use the NYU application or just the regular common app?

bump........

If you're doing ED, I would suggest for you to use the NYU application. I think the common app has an additional short-essay.
