Seems like this came out the Monday after admissions decisions last year - can we expect this info to be out today?
There’s a story in the Alligator with a little bit of data: https://www.alligator.org/news/uf-accepts-freshmen-to-the-class-of/article_39810f50-5a95-11ea-b42b-8bfdb51bc287.html
by my back of envelope math, the admission rate went from 37% last year to 29% this year.
8,000 more applicants.
@GatorDad305 Wondering about the 7000 that didn’t apply by the deadline. How do they include those in numbers? I was also wondering if they got the same consideration.
@GatorDad305 - thanks. I had seen that. I was wondering if they released a neat and tidy pdf like FSU does. I thought they did, but I may be mistaken.
Here is the one from Florida State:

Generally it goes out mid day today.
@Melissa96 - thank you!
The weird thing about the FSU one is that it says how many applied, but not how many were accepted. I wonder why that is?
@flprepaidmom I think there is some statistical gymnastics going on with all this. Do they count the kids whose applications were turned in late? If they did, it would help lower the admission percentage. I don’t know. Base on data that I saw, it looks like admission percentage went down significantly. Once they do post their chart, we will know more.
Would you say it’s mid day yet? I’m so anxious to see the numbers.
@Melissa96 will it still be posted today?
@MrsRev Per FSU, they accepted, 17,800 for regular admission, which includes all the students who were admitted for the semester they selected on their application. Including the summer, spring, and pathways offers it goes up to about 23,000.
I don’t suppose anyone has seen the admitted student profile ?
I keep googling for “admitted class profile,” and getting nothing. That article linked above also stated demographic info would be out Monday, but obviously, that didn’t happen.
Well, I have a theory but it’s only my theory. I checked in with the stats person and he said that there hadn’t been any official requests yet for the information from university relations. Since the info is normally in the Alligator first and it is spring break for UF, it may be next week before they are officially released.
Thanks Melissa96…I was wondering if spring break had something to do with it.
Hi Melissa. Do they post statistics for out of state acceptances? Thx
So hopefully today. Very anxious to get the numbers.
I assume the information still hasn’t been released ?
I haven’t seen anything. I think folks are rather pre-occupied right now.
indeed they are, but UF is also functioning somewhat normally for the time being.
