I am literally shaking. Stony Brook was my #1 school but now the Financial Aid Tab has disappeared. I am praying for the best.
Someone suggested that they might be looking for mid year grades. My daughter is out of state and we are in the middle of midterms as we speak. I asked her to check with her guidance counselor today to see if any requests came in. I think the midterm request seems plausible. I also checked prior posts of things being different on the welcome page. We are not seeing extra links for paying deposit. That in the past posts signified acceptance. Perhaps the Stony Brook moderator on this page could help shed some light on this. Good luck everyone!
You can also call or email admissions. They will tell you. Your application is now complete once Financial Aid tab comes off. Decisions are out. Good luck.

Two friends of mine both got accepted and their solar changed immediately. Adding tabs. Not eliminating them. Also before my friend’s changed she had already called admissions and they didnt say she was accepted but did say to look in her mail for something good coming. But before she received her actual letter of acceptance in the mail, she got a Congratulations in the solar. But I do know someone who also had the financial tab disappear and they told him that his application was complete and to just enjoy his senior year and keep up the hard work. For him they didnt say he was accepted. A lot of reading between the lines. Wish Chris would answer some of these questions for us.
Hello. My solar page just changed as well. I am not sure when exactly it changed but I did notice the Financial Aid is gone. Did anyone find out what this means? If so can you please post. Thank you.
Okay, EVERYBODY BE COOL. 
Decisions aren’t official until you see something in SOLAR that says “congratulations” or “i’m sorry we are unable to offer you admission,” regardless of what screens or options may or may not change.
Nobody lose sleep over the Financial Aid tab because DoIT is constantly updating and changing things, and sometimes SOLAR changes without us even knowing.

Thanks Chris! My son Anthony contacted admissions yesterday because he was losing his mind. Thanks to whoever helped him out. We’ll keep our fingers crossed!

I have not heard ANYTHING either. And my solar page is still the same.
Can anyone give me an estimate of when i should be hearing back, I applied 12/25/16, and my application was received 12/28/16.
I think it should depend on what college you’re applying to. I applied to College of Arts and Sciences on 13th January and heard back last week.
